Practice Management Tips
Once you've purchased the MacuScope™, here are some helpful hints for your patients and your practice.
- Identify current AMD patients in your practice
- Contact them about your new medical device.
- Mail letters to them and their family members, due to the genetic propensity for AMD.
- Go through all old charts identifying AMD patients or those with familial history.
- Hire part-time co-op students.
- Call or send a letter similar to above.
- Advertise screening for AMD, "first in area", etc.
- Local Newspapers
- Window Poster
- Place the enclosed articles contained in your marketing kit in your waiting room areas and patient screening rooms. Use them to help you and your staff explain the benefits of early screening for macular protective pigment density.
- Public Relations
- Press releases (i.e. new medical device, first in area, etc.)
- Article about your practice helping potential AMD patients, "...the leading cause of legal blindness in the world".
